Tennessee Supreme Court Denies Permission to Appeal in DPBC Win.
DPBC’s appellate team members Donald Capparella and Jacob Vanzin secured a client’s $750,000.00 judgment awarded at the trial court level when the Court of Appeals issued its opinion on November 15, 2024 affirming the trial court’s judgment. The defendant asked the Supreme Court to permit a further appeal on January 15, 2025, but the Supreme Court denied the defendant's application for permission to appeal on March 12,2025.

Michael Bressman serves as Professor of the Practice of Law at Vanderbilt Law School where he has taught a variety of courses over the last 15 years. This year, Professor Bressman received the Hall-Hartman Award honoring excellent teaching for one of the first-year sections of Contracts. He also teaches Intellectual Property and the Arts Clinic, and directs the Law School’s clerkship program.
