TBA Names Connie Clark Recipient of Drowota Award; Behm Quoted on Selection

May 18, 2018

Tennessee Supreme Court Justice Connie Clark has been named the recipient of the Tennessee Bar Association’s prestigious Justice Frank F. Drowota III Award.  It is the organization’s highest honor for service to the judiciary. The award was announced via a Tennessee Bar Association press release.

In naming her as the honoree, the TBA noted specifically Justice Clark’s implementation of the Access to Justice Commissions’s first-ever strategic plan and the creation of the Tennessee Faith and Justice Alliance.

DPBC’s Margaret L. Behm, who served as the first chair of the Tennessee Supreme Court’s Access to Justice Commission, was quoted on Justice Clark’s selection. “No one in Tennessee knows more about the Tennessee judicial system than Justice Clark, Her entire professional life has been devoted to the service of others and the promotion of the rule of law.”

Justice Clark will accept the award during the TBA’s annual convention in June.
