“If I lose mine honour I lose myself”

“Every man has his fault, and honesty is his.”
- Timon of Athens III, 1; Lucullus, happy to praise Timon but not to lend him money
My blog post this week is about a legal ethics CLE that I have presented many times which has helped many lawyers receive their CLE ethics credit in an entertaining and informative way. This in-person presentation involves professional actors from the Nashville Shakespeare Festival who perform scenes---most of them comedic---that raise modern legal ethical principles. Not much has changed with respect to human nature in 500 years. Plus, did you know there are over 20 trial scenes in Shakespeare’s works?
The Nashville Bar Association and The Nashville Shakespeare Festival, are combining forces Friday, November 14, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 4:15 pm in the Nashville School of Law auditorium. The cost is $150 for NBA members, $200 for non-members, and $15 for law students and non-attorney spectators. Come, get your three hours of CLE ethics credit, and be thoroughly entertained all at the same time.
Joining the panel for this presentation are the Honorable Judge Frank G. Clement of the Tennessee Court of Appeals, along with myself, Tyler Yarbro, and Maddin Nelson. For more information or to register, click HERE!
