August 31, 2015

Jason M. Gichner has been appointed to lead the Criminal Practice Clinic at Vanderbilt Law School for the fall 2015 semester.  Jason will supervise students as they represent individuals charged with felonies. In addition, he will supervise students handling post-conviction relief petitions on behalf of persons in prison.

Jason has taught Trial Advocacy at Vanderbilt Law School since 2012.  He maintains a general litigation practice, with emphasis on criminal law, complex civil litigation, and business disputes. He also serves as an attorney on the Office of the Federal Public Defender’s Criminal Justice Act Panel for the Middle District of Tennessee.  The panel consists of only 65 private attorneys chosen for their experience and willingness to represent those persons accused of a crime against the United States who are financially unable to afford private counsel.
